Old Coy Dog
Old Coy Dog
Old Coy Dog is not your normal hot sauce. Try some on a spoon, I double-dog dare you. You will first taste the fresh red bell peppers, onions, garlic, lime juice, and a tinge of limeade. Then, the burn arrives! There are no extracts in this sauce, just American grown Ghost Peppers! I'm not the only one who loves this sauce, it has won 1st place in the "Superheats" category at the Very Hot - 2012 Hot Pepper Awards. Warning, this Old Coy Dog bites :)
Ways to Enjoy
Try on burritos, egg sandwiches, soups, mac and cheese, grilled cheese, root veggies, egg rolls, chicken, chili, and burgers. Benito's favorite is to put it on sushi. My favorite is sprinkled on a plate of tortilla chips, smothered in melted Extra Sharp Vermont Cheddar.

About Benito's Hot Sauce
While working in a restaurant in New Jersey, Benito felt the house hot sauce was not hot enough. After working many hours in the kitchen to meet his taste buds’ demands, Benito's Naranja was born. As more people tried the sauce, they begged for more. Knowing that local organic foods were strongly promoted in Vermont, Benito moved north in 2008 and launched Benito’s Hot Sauce. Since then, he has built his own kitchen to meet his hot sauce demands. Go Benito!
