About Fat Toad Farm

Founded by Steve Reid, Judith Irving, and Calley Hastings and made in Brookfield, VT

Husband and wife, Steve Reid and Judith Irving, and their daughter, Calley Hastings, run Toad Farm. The family has spent the last eight years building a high-quality herd of Alpine milking goats and perfecting the art of caramel making. Each batch of hand crafted, velvety caramel is made with their own herd of beautiful (and mischievous) goats. The milk is so fresh you can almost taste the green grass our goats graze on throughout the warm summer months.

The Fat Toad Farm’s goats are the heart and soul of the farm. Their health and well-being are their highest priority.  The goats are rotationally grazed during the summer pasture months on thirty acres of neighboring green pastures. They are also fed high quality grain and hay to supplement their diet along with daily foraging walks through the woods on the way home from pasture.
